Canadian-born singer-songwriter benny mayne is back with another track this week. And it is even more exciting than ever!
After being busy releasing originals like “bounce” and his first collaboration with Jutes on the rhythmic track “attitude”, as well as climbing the Spotify and Soundcloud charts, benny today decided to switch up some things.
His latest release is not an original but a rework of a classic track we all love up to this day: it’s the iconic Destiny’s Child’s track “Say My Name”. But it obviously would not be a true benny song if he had simply kept the song as it is. For his rework, he chose to change some lyrics and turn the track into a more male-oriented take on the sassy original. benny also switched up the background music in order to fit in with his smooth, R&B style. But don’t worry; benny obviously has not done anything to the iconic “Say My Name” hook. It remains as catchy and timeless as it was back when it was first released.
