Remembering Avery Warwick of Brantford (1999-2023)

The Brantford community is grieving the devastating loss of 19-year-old Avery Warwick, who passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 4th, 2023. Avery was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend, whose shining spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

A Cherished Daughter and Sister

Avery leaves behind her heartbroken parents, Liz and Jeff Warwick, as well as her best friend and older sister, Hayley. She was the light of their lives and they will forever feel the void left by her passing. Avery's mother said "our beloved, shining, happy girl, the light of our lives and the beat of our hearts." The Warwick family is understandably devastated by this tragic loss of their vivacious, loving Avery at such a young age.

Remembering Avery's Vibrant Spirit

By all accounts, Avery was a positive force of nature who brought joy to others. She had an outgoing, friendly personality and special talent for making those around her feel happy and included. Friends describe her as the life of any gathering, always cracking jokes and livening up the mood in the room. Her loved ones will deeply miss her smile, laughter and warmth.

Her Passions and Hobbies

Avery had wide-ranging passions, from sports to arts to volunteering. She played competitive soccer for many years, developing close friendships with teammates. She also loved visual arts, and her sketches and paintings showcased her creative flair. An avid reader and writer, Avery dreamed of publishing her own novel one day. Her generous spirit led her to volunteer often at local charities, brightening the days of those in need.

Predeceased Family Members

Avery was especially close with her grandparents and will be terribly missed by surviving relatives. Her grandfather Robert Tosh predeceased her, as well as her Granny Agnes Tosh. She is survived by cherished grandparents Dennis and Marilyn Warwick of Chatham. Avery also leaves behind mourning aunts, uncles and cousins in Brantford, Simcoe, Chatham and the U.K. who loved her dearly.

Her Celebration of Life

There will be a visitation held for Avery Warwick on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Toll Funeral Home in Brantford from 5:00-8:00pm. A Celebration of Life service will follow on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 2:00pm in the funeral home's chapel. All whose lives were touched by Avery are welcome to pay their respects and commemorate her vibrant spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Brant County SPCA.

Avery's Enduring Legacy

Though her life ended far too soon, Avery Warwick made a lasting impact through her infectious joy, empathy and passion. She will live on in the hearts of the many people she uplifted with her warm soul and zest for life. Avery touched countless lives in just 19 short years, and her loved ones will carry her bright spirit with them forever. She will be so deeply missed, but never forgotten.
